May Ker Space

Thank you to all the BUYERS who came and purchased slime, bracelets, playdough, framed art, pencils with funny tops, handmade paper bowls made from Scholastic catalogs, lots and lots of Perler bead creations, one of a kind items, cards, bookmarks, and other fun things!

Thank you to the MAKERS who created something special to donate to our first ever May-Ker Space Marketplace in the Indian Trail Library. We earned $315 from student’s hard work at lunch time Maker Space and at home on their own.

The 2018 February Youth Art Month
North Shore School District 112 Exhibit
This exhibit represents a selection of kindergarten through eighth grade
art work created by students in North Shore School District 112.

The exhibit will be on display from
February 17th through February 26th at
The Arts Center of Highland Park

You and your family are cordially invited to join the district art teachers
for an informal open house to be held on
Thursday, February 22nd from 5:30 - 7:30 P.M.

We are proud to share a small sampling of the outstanding work produced
daily in the district schools with the community.
Please join us to celebrate the talents of our students during this evening.

Artwork will be returned through school following the show.

Coat and Boot Drive

Fall Coat
& Boot Drive

Fall is the time of year to clean out our closets, and during the month of November, we are hold-
ing a community-wide winter coat & boot collection. Due to the growing need in our communi-
ty, we are collecting new and gently-used, warm, clean coats and boots of all sizes from infant to

adult. The items will be distributed to families in need within our community in November.
Please drop off your donations in the Fall Coat & Boot Drive box outside of the Indian Trail

Art Smocks

A NOTE FROM MS. LEE...
ART CAN GET MESSY
If your child is concerned about their clothes, please have them bring a smock to school. Some examples are an old large t-shirt, an old button-down shirt, or a School Smart full protection vinyl smock. Students should try to avoid wearing their best clothes and shoes on the day they have art.

Fund Run

The Fund Run will soon be here! Every year the 112 Foundation puts on a wonderful race for our school community to help raise funds for scholarships and learning opportunities provided by the 112 Foundation. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!! Here is some other information that is new/important read below.

112 STUDENT PARTICIPATION:

The Fun(d) Run Committee also wants administrators to know that there is FREE REGISTRATION for students who are identified on the Free / Reduced Lunch List. Each student who qualifies can bring one adult and will also get a race day t-shirt.  All approved students MUST complete the paper registration and submit it their building principal by October 4, 2017.
